On Saturday, October 4th at 05:19AM. Norwalk Professional Firefighters responded to a single car MVA with heavy entrapment of the sole occupant.

The accident was located in the center grass median of the Route 7 connector in the area of exits 2 to 1. Initial reports from State Police indicated that there was a single occupant entrapped within the vehicle.

Extrication began at 05:28 and the patient was removed from the vehicle at 05:53 totaling 28 minutes of extrication time.  The patient was transferred to the care of Norwalk EMS and transported to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries with two firefighter/EMT’s on board to assist paramedics.
