The City of Norwalk Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 10:32 am.
The fire was located on Clinton Ave. in a 1.5 story “cape style” residential home. Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from the gable ends as well as the eaves.
A hose line was quickly stretched via the front door to the rear kitchen area which was on fire and spreading. As this attack line was being stretched, firefighters simultaneously vented the kitchen windows, stretched a line to the floor above to cut off any extension, and conducted a search of the building. All searches were negative. The fire was held to the 1st floor kitchen area, however there was smoke damage throughout the home. Currently, there is one occupant displaced by the fire. There were no reported injuries. The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire
