Upon arrival of Car 2, a heavy volume of fire was visible on all floors of the private dwelling with multiple vehicles also on fire in the driveway.

One Norwalk Professional Firefighter was transported to an area hospital for treatment by Norwalk Hospital EMS after operating on scene. Two neighbors were also treated for smoke inhalation. Sadly one cat perished in the residence. All six occupants and one dog were able to safely escape. The Red Cross is assisting the occupants. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Norwalk Fire Marshals Division.
