Shortly after 7pm on Sunday, May 11th. The NFD responded to a mutual aid Structure Fire at 124 Lukes Woods Road in the Town of New Canaan.

Engine Co. 1 from the Broad River Fire Station and Car 7 (Safety) with a total of 5 NFD Local 830 members operated on scene as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) as New Canaan Career and Volunteer Firefighters extinguished the fire in the garage of the 9,220sq ft private dwelling.

E-1, and Car 7 cleared the scene before 8pm. While E-1, and Car 7 were operating in New Canaan. The remaining 30 Norwalk Professional Firefighters responded to multiple calls for service throughout the City.
