Every day, 33 Norwalk Professional Firefighters and Fire Officers are on-duty to protect the City of Norwalk.

Our members are assigned to our 5 fire stations and work 24 hour shifts on-duty followed by 72 hours off-duty.

Training is just one of the many daily activities our firefighters and fire officers must complete throughout their shift in addition to responding to emergencies and maintaining our equipment.

NFD L830 members train daily on a number of topics and disciplines to maintain a high level of proficiency to safely respond to the current hazards our members face daily.

They also learn new techniques and skills to meet the future challenges our members will encounter as the City of Norwalk continues to grow.
