Another Night, Another Working Fire for NFD Local 830 Firefighters

The City of Norwalk Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 00:35hrs on Wednesday morning.
 
The fire was located on Perry Avenue in a 1.5 story two car detached garage. The initial call reported flames coming from the structure.
 
Upon arrival, Truck 1 and Engine 1 encountered a fully involved structure containing an old antique vehicle. The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm due to water supply issues and extinguished in 35 minutes by 4 Engines, 2 Trucks, and 1 Rescue with a total of 29 Norwalk Professional Firefighters operating on scene.
 
There were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians. The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire.

The last remaining NFD Engine Company and mutual aid from the Town of New Canaan FD Local 3224, Town of Westport FD Local 1081 and Rowayton VFD covered the City.
